Clinical Manager - Behavioral Health Clinic

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Clinical Manager to join our Behavioral Health Clinic. This opportunity is a full-time, Monday - Friday, day shift opportunity located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Minimum $66,123 - Midpoint $84,302*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Summary:

Oversees the administrative and clinical aspects of a direct service program. Provides administrative supervision of clinical and/or paraprofessional staff who provide these services. May also provide direct services to constituents served by the program. Ensures that all funder, program and agency standards are met, staff productivity is achieved and that staff are supported via reflective and clinical supervision. Responsible for program quality, and implementing quality assurance and improvement processes and oversight of documentation and record-keeping. Participates in leadership activities within the department and community served as assigned, and represents the program at local, state, and federal level meetings as appropriate to the program needs and funding.

About the Ideal Candidate:

UNM Medical Group, Inc. has an exciting position available in Rio Rancho for a Clinical Manager of community-based services. This position supervises paraprofessionals providing peer support and other community-based services to children, adolescents and their families. The successful candidate will have an interest in sustainable behavioral health program development and experience providing behavioral health services to individuals in the community and supervising paraprofessionals providing services.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Clinical Manager:

Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years direct service experience in a related program, and 1-3 years related program management experience, or, a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with 1-3 years related program oversight experience required. A NM drivers license and ability to travel locally as well as for within and out-of-state travel for required program activities, meetings and trainings. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Clinical Manager:

  1. Provides direct administrative and clinical oversight of a direct service program.
  2. Directly supervises direct service staff.
  3. Provides written reports as required by program funder and agency.
  4. Ensures timely documentation of services in accordance to program standards
  5. Ensures accurate record keeping and use of the electronic medical record as required.
  6. Ensures implementation of the program intervention model with adherence to evidence-based and best practice standards.
  7. Works collaboratively with other providers and stakeholders in the community served by the program and within the agency.
  8. Attends community meetings in support of the program, collaborators, and constituents served.
  9. Develops appropriate community advisory processes in accordance to specific program requirements.
  10. Ensures staff receive regular reflective, administrative, and field supervision in accordance to funder and program standards.
  11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
