UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Supervisor, Patient Services - Radiation Oncology to join our Cancer Center. This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Minimum $48,182 - Midpoint $60,233*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Summary:

The Supervisor, Patient Services directly supports the day-to-day operations within the Patient Services and Revenue Cycle Operations Departments of the UNM Cancer Center. This role provides practice management support including patient scheduling, orders processing, registration, insurance verification, prior authorization, and medical records administration. The Supervisor, Patient Services provides direction, schedules work, monitors results, and supports employee development and engagement.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of Patient Services Radiation Oncology daily job functions including but not limited to managing check-in/registration & scheduling (this includes /insurance verification and co-pay collection)

This will include processing observation orders for lab and diagnostics and radiation oncology scheduling, arriving patients and queuing clinical staff to triage for multiple clinics serviced on the ground floor. This supervisor will work as the point person for the following

  • Support for Departmental Expansion Both Radiation Oncology and ground floor Medical Oncology.
  • Work Closely with the Medical Oncology Scheduling Supervisor and the New patient Scheduling Supervisor to align processes
  • Some master scheduling clinic closures and opening
  • Revenue Cycle Integration and Optimization

This position is critical to the overall success of the department by meeting established job requirements and performance goals in a very demanding and high producing clinic environment all while addressing and meetings the needs of the patients and/or Physicians.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Supervisor, Patient Services - Radiation Oncology:

High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of work experience acquired in a medical environment; including a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.
