Federal Quality Program Manager

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Federal Quality Program Manager to join out Quality Team. This position is a full-time opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Summary

Provides regulatory expertise of Federal Quality Programs (Promoting Interoperability, Quality Payment Program - Merit-based Incentive Payment System) to the Office of Population Health Management and the UNM Health System. Responsible for educating on, coordinating, implementing, evaluating, and reporting for Promoting Interoperability (PI) and Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) initiatives. Works collaboratively across the UNM Health System with provider groups, clinical leadership, Information Technology, finance, and electronic health record vendor to ensure compliance with PI and MIPS program requirements and reporting.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Federal Quality Program Manager:

Bachelorís Degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, nursing, or other related field with five (5) years of experience with hospital information systems, or ambulatory healthcare experience  a minimum of three (3) years in a management capacity. Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.  Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Federal Quality Program Manager:

1. Develop and implement strategies for success in PI, MIPS, HEDIS, and value-based care, including supporting contractual and regulatory audits.

2. Coordinate the selection, implementation, and evaluation of new systems, or updates to existing systems, to support and enhance clinical practice and to meet program goals; develop workflows and thoughtful implementation across the organization.

3. Validate, analyze, and trend performance data to inform interventions to meet federal reporting requirements.

4. Develop and maintain monthly performance dashboards.

5. Partner with stakeholders on improvement activities to ensure success in PI and MIPS.

6. Serve as a resource for clinical staff and health system leadership.

7. Support the improvement of clinical outcomes and clinical efficiency.

8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to complete regulatory projects within deadlines.

9. Maintain the book of evidence for PI and MIPS attestation.

10. Complete annual PI and MIPS submission.

11. May supervise personnel.

12. Participate as a member of management team in planning, problem resolution, and reviewing department performance.

13. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
